Week surf at Ericeira

One of the best week surf i had for long time.

Start last saturday at Coxos..passing by Pedra Branca,praia Grande and Nazare yesterday.

Thanks Miguel for the ride yesterday.Was a perfect clean week with off show winds ,hot  and 6 feeds waves

last good El Quemao from the season.

Another beautiful day at Ericeira,Portugal.
I woke up and left my wife and baby sleeping and my close friend living room house,dike and first person i saw at Coxos car park was Miguel Fortes.
We went straight to the water and had a couples hours by hours self.
Tiago Oliveira had the best waves today.
I had one really good one.
Weather is been really good,27ºc ..looks like summer not spring time.

Waves was just perfect.

Long lines..off shore..all the boys in the water.Miguel Fortes,Tiago Oliveira e Pires.Grego,Paulo do Bairro..e muitos outros..My best wave was all the way form the outside to the inside behind the foam ball and close out in the end..The best close out i had from long time.

Here at Mullaghmore,Northwest of Irland.

Got here yesterday night for this huge swell and saw some great waves.Saw cause for 3 hours i staied watching with out a pwc for my buddy paul Okane tow me.

When he finally found one the tide was to low.

Irish crazy tube rider Fergal Smith and partnaire Tom Lowe were there and said was shit.

I was waiting to long and decided to catch one.

Did a snap before getting into the bown and was a mistake i think.

Pinch the nose just before get barreled.Went all the way over the falls and when i was free falling i new i will get hurt.

Rib hurts now, neck hurts..but went back out.got two normals one just to feel the board and hope with some pain pills can surf tomorrow.

Is pumping Galicia!!

Have been surf Las Bajas from many years now.

Last time was amazing on ski.

I was only paddling form the last few years and i think is really hard to place your self out there.

It s a to far away outside reef but don´t break at the same spot.

I was at Jef Clark shop after surfing Mavs and we went to have a snack at this perfect place on the harbour.Sancho took the mag from Bastien and did this shot.

He always think he is better than all the photographers around.He said this is a perfect mix of lights,haha

This late drop at El Quemao,with water in my eyes i will never forget.

Mavericks over..for now

Well just arrived in home and stoked to see Uma and Elena as her family.

Last day out there in Mavericks was my best one Twigui and Alex Martins let me go in a good one at the peak, so happy about that.

Could find my spot at the peak the day before and only one i paddle but Derek Dunfee turn at the last minute deeper and i pulled back.

Hope be back there soon and try to charge more ,cause i don´t think i did as much as i can.

Met this day this nice Brazilian guy here in San Francisco.
He is been surfing Mavericks for long time and is one of the contests group.
Told me some tips about where to seat and what should i do not do.
Have my 9feet repairing the fin of that and saying the board is a nice shape but just a bit light.

Mavericks

Got here at San Francisco the 31th of January at night.

My friend and big wave rider Joao de Macedo (seq), came pick me up at the airport.

Boards dindn't arrive even paying 300 euros to Airfrance, well.

Next day we went to surf Mavericks and he lend me one 9,6.

The wave is a not a big wave is a slab big wave.I am still tripping.Should be a tow left wave,heheh

With traitional local Jeff Clark ready this wil be mad, but i just saying this cause i couldn't believe how stick is the take off.

You gotta be commited as never.

Joao got some sick ones and his new grom Alex Botelho got the most crazy take off i saw from long time.

He drop under the llip and een to much cause it landed in his back.

I was going back out after a wave and stop to see if he was ok.he go back to surface jus before the next wave.

I was ready to pick him up!

My baby at the other side of the world at i need be nervous for you kid,hehhe was what i told him.

Brilliant future in front of him, as Joao and me said!

Back to Galicia after surf many barrels at Quemao.Had some surf with Matheus Faria em Afife and swell looks good good for next few days.Shot from surfrule spanish mag from La Toxica..here in Galicia..this month.

Have been surfing El Quemao for the past 2 days...many many barrels..will post soon.

But before that we just surf Las Bajas..out the back in Famarra beach.

I had paddle many times but the left barrel is hard paddling and this last time we towed and got many sick ones.Pro photos from pro photographers will be out soon.
